Oh man, I almost picked this one. Steve Miller’s Strat sound is sooo good.
That's one song that just mellows me right out...
cant see so...
These are the three guys who, more than any others, made me decide I wanted a Strat.
1. Hughie Thomasson - The studio version captures his tone better, but it's so much more fun to watch it live. I always love the back and forth between the LP and Strat tones.
2. Richard Thompson - This song gives me goosebumps as the Strat - with a very typical RT tone - works its way into the mix and then breaks loose in the solo.
3. Rory. Obviously he has more fun playing than anyone else, but he also has some killer tone!
This isn't a fourth video. Maybe it is. Probably not. I went to public school, what do I know?
Hendrix & Mayer
I am conflicted worn and weary buried on the trail knocked out loaded...burned out from exhaustion, buried in the hail
Poisoned in the bushes an' blown out on the trail Hunted like a crocodile, ravaged in the corn trying to ball this down to three tunes.
So I must just say that Lenny comes to my immediate mind then after that it's a psych-sonic memory overload.

Rory Gallagher -TBA / Listeners choice
One of my favorite players who never gets enough credit
The intro to this video...
I love my Strat/HPTT combo. I love my LP through it, and my Gretsches, etc.....
In this video, I honestly think his tone with the Strat kills the Gibson tone. I like the Tele action better, too.
I will say, I think he's got those two amps cranked! I can't get that much drive from mine at any kinda bedroom levels! LOL
It’s better to be a smartass than a dumbass
This one by Robbie Blunt screams Strat like nothing else. Maybe even more than Big Log.
Mark Knopfler, of course
And this hidden gem by Jimmy Page (especially the bridge and the two solos)
Well there goes an hour and a half of sheer delight
LOVE the Robin Trower reference; his earliest 4 albums get constant rotation on my playlists. Trower rides the mostly ignored by most middle pick up with some trips to the neck. In one interview, he said he wasn't even sure what was in the bridge, as he never uses it. Now, trying to find a way to load up some El Rhino/Captain Beyond "Raging River of Fear" for the example I heard in my head. Not entirely sure how to do this...
Jimi Hendrix (I think the most difficoult to emulate)
Kenny Wayne Sheperd
