I've noticed some color contrasts look like 3D on the screen and I don't have an explanation... weird and almost spooky.

Post some of your favorites and if you know, offer a simple explanation of what the heck this is about...

I can force myself to see some things in 3D by treating it like a magic eye thing. Your second one can look 3d to me if I stare at it and try to look through it. I had bathroom wall paper that was maroon with little ships and could sit on the toilet and do the magic eye thing and the boats would pop off the marron and float in space.

Here is a non-typical magic eye thing that almost looks like a normal picture. 3D as it gets for me when I try.

That is interesting. I actually just see them as red and blue unless I look through it like a magic eye. Apparently some people naturally see the red and blue as 3d where I have to force myself.

Wow, that one worked well. I know what you mean by "the magic eye thing". I used to do that too. I didn't expect that one to look so 3d though.

Can you see it if you move your head left and right?

    Interesting question.

I'd guess no. The slight differential created by the space between the two pictures your brain perceives, one from each eye, is resolved as depth perception. Not sure movement would create the same effect

I've used this as wallpaper on my PC and tablet and on both there have been times when the moon has a 3D effect. Lunar Eclipse.jpg
