Oxycodeone and that manhole they sawed in my Right buttock Are Doing devilishly things my sleep And Feelings of being right
Be sure to eat some fiber and maybe try some stool softener. Every time I take that stuff, I can’t go to the bathroom for a week.
I feel your pain brother. I found that when I could "sleep" while on oxycodone it really was not sleep but just being in an altered state that made me not care about the pain. I couldn't relax and still hurt but just did not care about it. The best sleep was off the meds and hurting. The upside to having 9 surgeries on my knee was that by the time they put the second prosthesis in, the nerves were so numbed that I didn't really need any meds for it. I only took one pill while in the hospital and only 3 after getting home. The doctor also broke my femur while installing the new knee and I never hurt from that either. Also, @3bolt79 is right. That stuff will make you crap boulders but only after and while wishing you were dead from the stomach down.
glad to hear from you man! I was given oxy a long time ago after a back procedure, made me nauseous, irritable and cloudy. I hated it. My advice is to only take it when absolutely needed and end it as soon as you can. Hoping you heal up quick and come back better than ever!
Been there...ran the whole spectrum of pain meds. Never believed cannabis could kill pain (it's legal here). Was completely astonished when I discovered edibles did so for me. That's where I live now. I feel for ya brother...praying for you.
Sorry to hear you're not resting too comfortably Thom. Hopefully this phase will pass quickly. At least the oxy hasn't affected your taste in tunes. That one used to be a staple in my acoustic warmup routine.
why the excavation on the buttock? I must have missed an announcement or two? metamucil works great, doesn't have the 'oops, gotta go this very second' that a lot of ex-lax types of softeners do. But you have to take it preemptively and daily for as long as you're on the oxy. Needs a day to get to working. If you're already backed up, it won't benefit you until the blockage is passed. I generally try to avoid opioids for this reason, in spite of the fact that I'm extremely inclined to like them. I'm already by nature, um, retentive shall we say so the last thing I need is anything that makes my insides say "y'know, I think I'll stop working for a few days, that sounds great."
Hope you will do well Thom. My older brother is hooked on OxyContin. He injured himself at work many years ago. He was also abused as a kid in a boarding school way back in the 1960's. He chews about 30 tablets at 10mg each...that is basically 300mg of that stuff! He became a complete A-hole on it...that's why I haven't talked to him in over 10 years. You can choose your friends but you can't choose your relatives.
