Just for fun.
Time to feed the cats.
darryl jones... yeah, i think they should put the money aside and make him a full member... it's just stupid. i'll never forget peter criss. the rest i'd need to learn about to forget.
I've seen that before...pretty cold blooded of the "names" in the band...in particular Bon Jovi.
When I saw the title I was thinkin which seven members would we ax from popular bands so we would like them.
Nice line...I may (probably will) appropriate that.
"it's not Metal to have a keyboardist..." ?... man, I've been living in the trees too long; I did not know that.
Dave Navarro did a great album called Deconstruction with a band called Deconstruction
(with Eric Avery of Jane's Addiction , I just learned)
"...blue screen water... it's not an ocean anymore, it's just a backdrop..."
Scorpions - Michael Schenker !
That is an absolutely no go and whatever and whatnot it was MICHAEL SCHENKER! (excuse the capitals and shout but I had to).
I know what was going on in that time but they did so many things wrong. I know they pushed out Matthias and pull him in and Michael here and Michael there but they didn´t well enough.
It is Rudolf´s brother and not to forget (I did mention that already xD ) it is Michael Schenker they kicked out of the band.
I know about all the probs Michael had but come on.
Don´t get me wrong Matthias is one of my idols as well (and one hell of a great guy).
It was just so wrong in so many ways.
All the best,
Since the video mentioned Ozzy, I'm surprised they missed what was one of the biggest band member eradications I've seen. Sharon Osbourne had Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake's bass and drum parts re-recorded from Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman to avoid paying them royalties after they successfully sued the Osbourne for writing credits. Sharon claimed it was Ozzy who wanted it done; he claimed it was her. Either way, their parts were replaced by Rob Trujillo and Mike Bordin until the 30th anniversary editions were released a few years back when the original parts were restored.
For both Scorpions and UFO my favourite material is that which Michael played on.
Ya, this was the first thing to came to mind too before watching the video.
I would have mentioned Glen Matlock, the Sex Pistol who could actually play bass.
Yeah, that pretty much sums up Sharon's business techniques in a nutshell...that and removing writing credits from Jake E Lee
I don't doubt that had Randy lived, she'd have screwed him as well.
I figured Michael Schenker left The Scorpions to join UFO on his own accord. I prefer Uli Jon Roth in the Scorpions but Schenker is one of my all time favourite guitarists. His albums with UFO are full of amazing playing and the early MSG stuff is also good.
Maybe the producers of this video were afraid to go up against her and her army of lawyers.
I certainly wouldn't want to go up against them. Jake didn't either:
The Eagles and Don Felder also comes to mind.
Whitesnake and John Sykes.
Pearl Jam - Dave Abbruzzese
Kiss..... anyone remember Mark St. John?
Actually he had to quit because of degenerative arthritis.
