8’s and tuners and springs!

    So an old picker with hearing problems, who is about to have surgery, posts that he loves playing 8 gauge.
    You then make a snarky post that 8s suck, and are surprised when people say you’re being a jerk. It’s not what you said it’s how you say it.

    Thanks for the advice! I bought the pawn shop ticket for this Guild D 35 from my pal and lead guitarist Scott Traeger around 30-35 years ago for $100-$200. It has a wonderful neck and sound. The finish has always been like it is and occasionally I think about taking it in to the local luthier and seeing what he thinks about beautifying it! Here in Marin County we have some exceptional guitar folks. BTW just as a kick, when we bought this home in 1988, Jerry Garcia and Mountain Girl were living here along with their manager Rock Scully for about ten years. This old house has a good vibe!

    I use it exceedingly sparingly, but the Ignore button really improves the tone of this forum on occasion, as do light guage strings for a strat.
