So the strap buttons on my 93 Strat Plus will not hold a strap on. I thought I saw a post awhile back stating which strap locks would fit the original buttons?

    Can anyone help out?

Back then they were using Schaller Strap locks; the Fender ones are either copies of Schallers made by Ping or re-branded made by Schaller units.

The current Fender Schaller copies should fit that button nicely. I used a set on my last assembly. Nice quality.

Yes. I believe yours is one of a couple higher end model that actually came with Fender's strap lock buttons. I think they did that with the Plus, Deluxe and Ultra models. Somewhere along the line the strap got separated from the guitar.

You can buy a regular set of Fender strap locks, (schaller's will fit too, but beware the cheapies...same style but the button sizes can be slightly different) and use the extra buttons on a different guitar you want to use the same strap on.

Not sure if you can get the lock without the buttons, but you can do the reverse.

I know when I didn't want to buy full sets of buttons with the locks I just ordered the buttons alone from Fender by ordering Plus or Ultra strap buttons, which they sell separately.

A better picture would confirm that that's what you have but that's pretty much what it looks like in the one you posted.

Yeah...that's what I have here....that's why that center screw is troublesome. Might fit..but I've never seen that.
