Is this too good to be true? I missed this one. Gotta get my game up!
For $100, even if it’s not real, it still looks cool. Resell it or hanging on the wall as art. Have your family and friends all take turns autographing it with a silver sharpie and hang it up in their honor.
Fender did have an HH Strat in the old MIM Deluxe series in the late 1990s/early 2000 - big headstock, black plastics, 70s-style decal.
Would need some more/better photos than those to verify - specifically the serial number.
I could use a “Deluxe Start” right about now. Tired from a mountain bike ride today and now being dragged around shopping with my wife. A Deluxe Start would be great. Is that anything like a double espresso?
I see the word Strat so much recently, I didn’t even notice the OP’s spelling
Pickups look weird, especially the bridge but, who knows, if it’s real but modded / tatty it’d still be a good $100 worth. It’s not too good to be true in the state it’s in
Agreed - I think the bridge has been replaced as these would have had a Fender humbucker in the bridge. Even in totally mint condition one of these would probably fetch $250 tops, so $100 for a modded and beat one is reasonable.
oops. My mistake.
It's just an image capture. I tried posting the link but the forum deleted it saying it was questionable.
I'm not familiar with the Deluxe but I thought it was a step up from the Standard. Isn't $100 for any real Fender a steal if it's not trashed?
$100 for almost any Squier is even a good deal.....I'd have jumped on this right away, it might be sold? The ad / screenshot you showed says sold.
That Deluxe Series strat could be sold for easily $250-300.....double/triple your money with a fret polish, string change, and full setup.
The Seymore Duncan pickup at the bridge is worth the asking price! But it looks like it is sold?
Thanks, @Guitarmageddon. It was marked sold when I came across it even though it had only been posted for a few hours. You know what they say, you snooze you lose.
