A Dog is Better Than a Cat Because:

A dog not only gives you exercise several times a day, but also helps support the plastics industry as you walk behind it picking up its “little presents”.

A cat takes care of himself. Sure, he has demands, but as the superior species in the house, he's entitled and expected to make demands.

I like dogs better than cats cuz you don't have to bend down so far to pet hem.

    Dogs rule because:

They love you enough to be jealous of your guitars

I like dogs and cats a lot, and have both. But cat people are orders of magnitude stranger than dog people.

If I'm being honest though, our dog is better than both of our cats combined. And if they were being honest, the cats would agree.

Dogs are simple but smart. People are simple but not quite as smart.
Cats are better ratters than dogs. The dogs are usually still lookin and sniffing.
Cats are already playing frisbee with the catch.
If I go on a hunt, I’d rather have my Dogs.
I do not snuggle with Cats.
    I do with dogs.

Dogs are the BEST! Love them but all animals are special in their own little ways. Even crazy mysterious cats.

I love both, but the connection dogs make with you is unconditional. So perfect.

I've got 2 of each and I enjoy having both "teams" around.

I'm a dog guy by inclination but I do have a cat who:
    *Stays outside,
*Follows me to my pickup truck and rides between farms with me,
*Comes to me immediately when I call,
*Keeps annoying 'possums away in the middle of the night,
*Doesn't run away when I set up an amp on the porch for string abuse sessions.
I also have a short legged, pot-bellied beagle that I found abused and neglected. He's the skittish one, more like a cat than the cat (except for the slobbering, sleeping in dirt, and gulping his food things).

My wife, however , has two (yes I said TWO!!!) Long-haired "nutless wonders" in our house who split their time between begging for food, attention, and the right to own your body for their bedding, etc...
I swear I heard one say to the other, "Sssh....play it cool and distant, then tonight we kill the big one." Haven't had a good night's sleep since.

Cats are for people who really want a dog, but don’t want the bother.

Because let’s face it, dogs as wonderful as they are, are a lot of work.

    Cool pic.
My dog would like to be friends with the cat. The cat has other ideas.

The only redeeming quality of one of my wife's cats is his ability and willingness to catch anything that is vermin including the occasional tiny non-venomous snake that finds its way into the basement. I don't think he'd win against some of the local Eastern Diamondback rattlers around here though, even with help.

If a cat could kill you, it would.
A big dog could kill you, but won’t (in most cases).
