I was given this dead guitar some time ago.

Had no pick ups, selector switch or pots.

Did have a micro switch and the jack socket.

Is a cheap Chinese guitar but has a basswood body and maple neck with rosewood fingerboard.

The neck has no dings... surprisingly.

Very slim neck, something I'm not used too.

I was bored so went to my spare bits bin and see if I could resurrect her.

First thing, smooth the worst fret wires.

Second, fit a JB in the bridge and a Quarter Pound in the neck. They were just gathering dust.

I had a push/pull volume pot so wired that as a pick up selector.

I may add a tone pot at some stage.

Need to fit new strings and set up but am happy with progress so far.

I'm naming the guitar 'Black Rat'.

The guitar is dead, long live the guitar!

It's the right time if year for a resurrection

Cool little guitar you can bash about on with no guilt. Very cool!
