Did this for a friend and drummer I played with and stayed in touch with who passed away unexpectedly a couple days ago. And what a great drummer...solid....steady and never wavered.

This one is from back in the 80s in a mainly cover band he was in that I joined. He is second from the right....Im second from the left.

They were successful on the east coast...older than me when I joined and we quickly got tight. The guy loved guitar. Played 4 or 5 nights a week mainly in the New Jersey/New York club circuit along with surrounding states and down to Florida and up to Buffalo.

After that band he played with me original bands also...stayed in touch. I think he had a metronome in his head...or heart. Really gonna miss this guy

    Thanks.

A lot of good times and memories. He was a happy guy...loved playing. If I took a solo too long...he would throw drum sticks at me :) Im all lost in my thing but maybe its been a little too long and I see a stick fly by me or feel it hit me I in the back. I'd turn around and see him cracking up. He did it once and went back there during the solo and banged my guitar on a cymbal stand...knocking it over on to him...he keeps playing. I thought he would be really mad but when we got in the dressing room he says..."that was the coolest thing ever. Do it again!" Then we got into this thing where he would 'strum' my guitar with a stick. Still keep that beat steady.

I have this set to play at about 3:11 but if it doesn't can skipped up to that point...but his drumming was so cool and he understood dynamics. Loved playing with him.
