Wanted to do a Strat up in a DG inspired kinda way. Not an exact replica...not even, just some of the things that I think will be a cool kinda vibe. Hopefully a cool kinda sound/tone. I play through a Marshall 1974x, we will see how she sounds fairly soon. Parts below are in route.

    Guitar:
2019 Player Black Strat w/ Maple neck

    Parts:
    1 Ply black pick guard
CS Fat 50's pu in the neck
CS 69' pu in the middle
    SD SSL-5 in the bridge
    CTS 250 pots
    4.25" Trem bar
    DG magic recessed switch

No worries, thank you though. I saw their parts which are very nice. I picked and chose all my parts on the cheap. All good parts but I didn’t go for the rounded edge pickguard. I also want to solder it together myself.

Some Parts arrived also. Pickguard is so shiny overhead lamp is in the reflection.

Are you doing the micro switch wiring? otherwise what's the point? if it's not a "replica" at least it has to sound like it...;)

^ Yes, of course. My original post says clearly in the parts list: DG magic Recessed switch

Little switch is right here, I just haven't drilled the hole for it yet.

Everything for the pick guard arrived. With Soldering station fired up I started wiring it all up. This video is a good step by step easy to follow wiring instruction. His accent is quite thick, but that's all good.

Just curious, do you own a tricked out 1973-76 Plymouth Duster @Alex44?

    Nice...

I had a '73 Duster that I turned into a SCCA Ralley type road racer.

The front end got smashed in an unfortunate incident, so I rebuilt it using ‘71 Dodge Demon parts and here’s how it looked before I sold it back in the late 90s:

I sold it after getting this 1965 Plymouth Barracuda, which I still own:

Yeah....a Mopar guy with a Sassy Grass Green Duster....had to have one of these. I understand there are lots of peeps that don't like the color...... But, for me I'm digging it, reminds me of a Margarita. That Lil' Walter tweed amp I got from Ben Haggard, Merle Haggard's son. It travelled and was played with the Strangers. Merle and Ben both signed the back of the amp.

Two of my favourite things. Cars and guitars.

My dad was a Mopar guy. He had a 65 Chrysler New Yorker ex HWY pursuit car with the 4 barrel 413ci and dual exhaust (IIRC). I was a 60’s Camaro guy (I know... how original). I’ve always had a place in my heart for a 68/69 Charger though. Chargers and Super Bee‘s and Road Runners were the first cars I looked at and thought ok... Those must be race cars. I think of Dusters, Darts and Demons the same way.
