    I made the unpardonable sin of mentioning my other guitar. The poor soul that found fault with my reply to someone's post totally miss read point I was making. No big deal. Some people are just plain [email protected]#$. I also like my Strat. I love my Gi!$0

    Randy Rhoads, Ace Frehly, Billy Gibbons, Duan Allman, Gary Moore, ERIC CLAPTON, Zakk Wylde, Dean DeLeo, Pete Townshend,,, blah blah blah. Go try and play Metallica on a strat, it’s not fun. Les Pauls are more versatile in terms of tone

    I’m not interested in playing Metallica, Pete Townsend plays strat and Tele more than any other guitar, I’d need proof of Clapton playing an LP.

    it’s called Google… click on images… look at dozens of pictures of Clapton playing a LP… go learn a song that requires palm muting… now learn to love bridges on non strat guitars for such purposes

    It doesn't matter which you prefer.

    The Drummer is going home with the hot chicks, not the guitarist(s)

    Because you can change the neck after the cleaning lady runs the vacuum cleaner against the guitar-stand...

    @David Garner

    Seductive
    is the word for this one! And plugged straight into that amp it's leaning against.

    Gonna use it as a screen saver for a while if you don't mind. :thumb:

    A strat with a humbucker doesn't sound like a Les Paul.

    More precisely, I can bring my HSS Stratocaster to a gig, and it does a good job substituting for a LP. LPs cannot really do that Strat position 2 and 4 thing.

    I hate the Strat position 2 and 4 thing. Every time I hear it, I die a little inside.

    Because it's not a Les Paul, Duh!... :p and, of course, the headstock is still attached to the rest of the neck.. :D

    Cuz you can buy 2 strats for the price of one LP? Cuz strats feel like they are made of balsa? Cuz strats have necks ideal for people with tiny hands? Cuz a random light bulb can ruin your whole evening? Cuz using car paint on your guitar is cool?
