Since I got my Nashville tele, I’ve barely picked up a strat at all. It does everything a strat does (other than whammy bar), and some things even better.

I learned to love the strat bridge pickup, but the tele pickup is instantly awesome.

Yeah..I've heard of ones in the 7-8 range but mine is 9.2. Not ideal, but everything else about it makes the weight a non-issue.

I had a MIM like that, with just a new neck, body and pick ups it was one of the best I’d ever owned.

I’m reminded of this whenever I plug in my Telecaster-ish guitar. It’s my creation. It’s got a pine body from Tonebomb, a heavily reworked Chinese “Canadian Maple” with rosewood slab neck. Modern C, 9.5” radius, medium jumbo frets. Twisted Tele neck pickup and Tonerider Vintage Plus bridge pickup. TBX tone, 4 way switching. It sounds fantastic. It’s light enough to feel great too. Whenever I plug it in, the Strats get tone envy.
