Thanks for the listen and comments, Matt!

I've got some noisier things in the works... watch this space!

I've been quite busy lately, so no updates :(

I should get a couple of things out next week, I hope...

In the meantime I wanted to post this improv from this week's TDPRI.com challenge, which I rather enjoyed. It puts me in a good mood :)

I have some catching up to do!

This tune makes me smile, and i need that right now to keep the darkness at bay.
I can kind of see it as the opening theme to an anime, actually. All you need is some Hatsune Miku vocals... ;)

That last one is a really happy tune with some great playing over it.
You have both taste and chops Sam.
I love that lick about 2:46 where it sound like a sus4 arpeggio (maybe)
-are you hammering a high note with a plectrum there?

    Thanks Matt!

For that bit I start off doing a simple tapping thing:

    12(h) 16(t) 12(p) 16(h) 19(t) 16(p) - something like that, over and over.

Then did a Greg Howe "hammer on from nowhere" major arp (first part of the chorus melody from Kick It All Over, actually).

Then I tried to change that same major arp to a sus4 arp, but it sort of screwed it up :)

    Ok, new tune alert!

This one has been in the works for ages now, but I left it because I thought we would use it for another collab project. Since there was no movement there I decided to go ahead and finish it.

Great bass from @dogletnoir on this one, and thanks to @simoncroft for production advice!

I wanted some 80s kind of filmic driving on the motor-/high-way at night in the rain vibe, hopefully we have managed to capture it.

Lines are much more composed than I usually care to do, which was quite fun.

Ginza Metro -fantastic. That's another really fun tune with a lot going on harmonically
Love your legato lines and the main riff is killer

Really excellent. In a parallel universe, The Police would have stayed together, matured as an act, and started to produce music like this. Great playing, composition and sound production.:thumb:
