It’s been a while since I’ve done a proper thrash tune and as usual, it took a long while to get my right arm back up to speed. Really both hands. I don’t play this way as much as I used to but whenever I go back I’m reminded how much I love playing this style of music.

Well done! A huge early Mettalica fan I actually had to look up what album that song was on….

I stopped following them with the releases after the Black album. I’m kinda stuck in the first wave of early thrash. Albeit their album “Hardwired to self-destruct” is awesome! Did I mention awesome…

I was pleasantly surprised at this track. I’m going to have to revisit this album.
    Thanks @Mouse for the inspiration.:)

Thanks Jimi. I’m generally with you on the post-Black album releases. I am in a minority in that I do like a lot of the songs on the Load albums although it could have been one great album rather than two ok ones.

Perhaps give this album another listen. While I loved Hardwired, I actually thought Death Magnetic was better on the whole as Hardwired had a few misses for me. It’s not classic era Metallica of course but still damn good IMO for a band going on 40 years.

THat was awesome. Great playing, Mouse! Maybe it's showing my age, but I like almost all of the stuff Metallica has put out. Though Load/Reload and St. Anger have more duds than their other albums, there are still great tracks on every album they've done.

Really good playing man, very clean despite the heaviness of it. I couldn't play like that! Awesome Mouse

Thanks Velvet! I'm with you except for St. Anger. I've tried a few times and I just can't listen to it beyond the title track. The biggest problem with the Load albums is they were made by Metallica. I think if they were released by any other band they'd be huge hits, but a lot of fans didn't forgive them for the more straight rock tunes.

Thanks Cartick and I bet you could if you wanted to. If nothing else it's cardio for the day lol.

That is flipping awesome. Thanks my friend. I used to use a Slayer font "Mouse" at the end of my videos but abandoned it. I may return with your logo! :thumb:

Danged Ralph that raised my adrenaline to dangerous levels, I'm gonna go pour me a half a bottle of wine right now. I might even smoke something.
That right hand of yours is still legendary, the fact you've been doing pop, soul, and rock covers for the last few months and you still come back with machinegun speed and power, is proof that metal rhythm is an Italian gene.
The solos at 4:30 and 6 are nailed, you rocked this one my friend. Good to see you can still let that demon out of the cage from time to time.

Thank you my friend. I play metal too often these days so it does take more time to get back up to speed. This started 2 weeks before we started Crazy on You. Even now I feel like I’m not quite there. There were a few times my right forearm was stinging. I’ve worked out long enough to know I’m pushing too hard and fast but I’m impatient lol. It’s a fun release though.

More than any of the other thrash bands, Metallica’s riffs had a groove and a swing to them in addition to the chugga chugga. That really hit home for me. Megadeth too but for me Metallica was my sweet spot. They’re sort of home base for me as learned to play to their songs and I knew pretty much everything prior to the black album at one time or another.

I think I’m ready for the next thing. Maybe a disco tune...seriously. ;)
