Well that has proven difficult to find. I saw it on eBay and pulled the sn on Fender’s site. Shows it correctly.

The American Professional II Stratocaster® draws from more than sixty years of innovation, inspiration and evolution to meet the demands of today’s working player.

Our popular Deep “C” neck now sports smooth rolled fingerboard edges, a “Super-Natural” satin finish and a newly sculpted neck heel for a supremely comfortable feel and easy access to the upper register. New V-Mod II Stratocaster single-coil pickups are more articulate than ever while retaining bell-like chime and warmth. An upgraded 2-point tremolo with a cold-rolled steel block increases sustain, clarity and high-end sparkle.

The American Pro II Stratocaster delivers instant familiarity and sonic versatility you’ll feel and hear right away, with broad ranging improvements that add up to nothing less than a new standard for professional instruments.

Looks like that thing happened where it leaks out and then disappears.

Yep - I'm sure Fender wants this embargoed until whatever they have determined will be the official release date, which was already leaked to be "October".

Looks like the changes are new colors, a hyped up new neck finish, new pickups, adding the American Deluxe-style contoured neck heel, and in the close up it looks like the string tree is the American Elite/American Ultra style. To me a big change is moving to a steel block from the pot metal block - I'll be interested to see if it stays the modern small/angled block or goes to the full-sized block.

Interested to see if the pricing is the biggest change. And what makes a V-mod II different...

Big mistake to not do a matching headstock on this one IMO. It IS an awesome body color though....

I agree, this one would be awesome with the headstock painted as well.

You have to google like this

The name of this finish is "Miami Blue". I'd love to get my hand on one of these in lefty.

Pro II is something of a lame designation IMHO. Couldn't they have come up with something like "American Pro Advanced" or "American Pro Elite" or some such name??

Why? Fender's naming conventions should forever remain random, obtuse and indecipherable, as opposed to being straightforward?

Yes...leaked, apparently. They've been dumping stock of the AmPro and it was leaked that the date for release of these was Oct.
