    So, now i have it.

Trussrod nut is fine, it was tightened to bottom, and there were still too much bow.

So, basically, if I add few washers, could that do the job?

Also, should american special have that walnut(?) Plug in trussrod cavity?

Yes, it should have a walnut plug.

To answer your other question, your guitar becomes a lower valued partscaster if you change the neck......even if it's another Fender neck.....

I thought so, hole seems to be unfinished, but it seems that replacement plugs can be found.

Another question, what kind of neckplate this should have? This have totally blank neckplate.

I'll take few pictures later, but it seems like that plug have been removed already, that what I meant by unfinished look.

Serial is US10083984, at least it checks out.

I've seen fakes with valid serial numbers that check out, just saying....

    Is yours a black HSS?

Trussrod nut removed. I'm planning on clamping neck, covered with tinfoil, then add some heat with clothes iron. After that, hopefully neck would be straighter. Then add few washers in trussrod, put nut back and get new plug

Wow, I think that neck might be toast - for sure someone loosened the truss rod too much thinking it was a 2-way rod, and pushed the plug right out by loosening way more than normal.....

Well, it made it easier for me because i didn't have to remove plug my self. Nut rotates just fine, so i think threads are in good condition.

at least it is not twisted, so i'm still quite confident that neck can be saved. IMG_20191010_184539_053.jpg

Well it's straighter now, i think It just might be ready.

    But..

My own 1/8" hex fits poorly, went to local musicstore and bought fender 1/8", it is even worse. Before I spoil nut, i think i should replace it.

As far as local store goes, they dont have american strat trussrod nut, only mexican w/ larger hex key fitting, and it seems that thread might be different? And, what diameter is walnut plugs inner hole, would larger hex key even fit?
