    Helping someone put some pickups in on their ‘99 Standard Strat. I thought the pickup with the red wire was the bridge but it is reading lower Ohms than the others. The readings are:

    Red wire: 5.94
    Blue and white: 6.09
    Other blue and white: 5.90

    Which goes where???

    This isn't a full set....you have 2 neck pickups.....

    neck = blue

    middle = red

    bridge = yellow

    on these American Standard pickups.....

    You could use the hotter reading blue in the bridge, and the red/white in middle, that's RWRP....and the other blue in the neck.....

    Buy a new Bridge pickup.

    Base it on what kind of tunes you'd like to play

    You should be able to narrow it down based on the length of the leads.

    Also, it appears that at one time there were induction screws in the pickup with the red lead.
    This would be a characteristic of a bridge pickup, low Ohmage notwithstanding.

    Yeah, seems like this is a 'mashup' set.

    FYI
    This is a 1999 Am Std pickguard.
    Worth noting the pickup hots are white and the grounds are the colors. Also the no load pot (tone 2) used in Fender's "Delta Tone".

    Interesting, thanks. What’s the deal with the wiring? The cap is attached to both tone pots. Can you explain this? When I wired, I wired the cap to the 2nd tone pot only.

    Then your other pot isn't going to work.
