Me too……………..but not so much that I’m going to start scouring the world to find one and then pay $4.5k for it. I put a piezo into my Yamaha nylon string which sounds OK, if a little uneven across the strings. A nylostrat could be an interesting build https://www.giggear.co.uk/guitars/pickups/acoustic-guitar-pickups/tgi-twin-disc-piezo-transducer-pickup.htm#:~:text=TGI Twin Disc-,piezo,-Transducer Pickup

Pop these under the scratch plate?
I'm with you. I saw the ridiculous 4g's price tag so that kills that idea.

No he didn't. Or if he did, there's zero history of it anywhere. Fender seems to have built the very first Yngwie Nylon String Strat Series in 1993. Ben was still playing a Fender in 2017 and his guitars didnt appear online until 2019, when he registered his Nylocaster trademark. You can check his trademark stuff online.

Edit: I thought so. They "launched" for pre-orders on Sept 1, 2019. 26 years after Fender. So there's no way he came up with the idea and waited over 26 years to build one.

I didn't watch the OPs video, assumed this was a new project launch. When I said Ben came up with the idea years ago, yes 2019 would be about right. Where I am its now 2023.

From what I heard, this does not work as a classical or an electric guitar. And loading on the distortion didn't do the instrument any favors either. I'll keep my Ibanez GA35 for nylon tones.

But he didn't come up with the idea in 2019. He copied the 1993 Fender he had been playing. So Fender came up with the idea. All he came up with was the name "nylocaster" 🤷‍♂️ you didn't need to watch the vid to know that. I didn't and never will watch a vid by that Trogly character. Ben proudly played his nylon stringed Ygwie Strat model for quite a long time before he offered those guitars. So all one had to do was be observant and they'd see he played a Fender nylon stringed Strat before 'Nylocaster' was ever a thought.
