In the spirit of being sheltered in place and things being, well, ominous, I'm offering a backing track from my studio project as a jam track for anyone interested.

This isn't a teaching thread, so anything goes!

    Have fun...it's in D.

That's cool...and so far WAY better than any of the versions I've been tracking.

I appreciate your taking time and playing on this.

Now, off to steal some of your licks.:D

P.S. I really can't steal your licks, you have a style...I have mine. Love the tone, too.

    AND TO ALL OTHERS

this is not a lesson thread. No rules. Just have fun

that right...you don't like D as much as some of us, if I recall correctly.

At least it's not D major.

Thanks for making a version, I enjoyed your ideas, sound and approach. :D

It's nice to hear my track with guitar styles that are not like mine. Sometimes I get tired of my own style.

Thanks. That's where I'm at, I'm sick and tired of my own playing and must do something to reinvent it.

A easy-going one-take jam. What an oddly interesting track. I certainly got tripped up a few times. Maybe with a touch more time to think about it. ;)

    Thanks @davidKOS for sharing!

Another take that lets me know how many ways to approach this track. There's something in your playing on this that brings me back to what I listened to in the early 70's....I can't put my finger on which band it reminds me of, but it made me really happy.

    I'm appreciative!

    "oddly interesting track"

That may be a more accurate review of my musical career than you thought!

I dig the thematic idea(s) and how they developed. And the space you used to build the solo, even in terms of register.

    Many thanks.

Here is my attempt for this quite difficult track to improvise over. Thanks for kicking me in the butt and making me do some work!
This was the first time I plugged a guitar in a month, and the second time in maybe six months.
I know my soloing over this is difficult to stand for 4 minutes, and I totally understand if you dont make it past the first 30 seconds.
I recorded another take with the les paul but the mic captured some hiss, so its unusable.
I do intend to insist on this track and maybe find some better ideas...Or any ideas at all.
