Well that AO 60’s pbass was incredible and was the reason why I grabbed this one. I had to sell the AO 60’s pbass and jazz bass to get this one. Wasn’t real excited about the heavy relic but I kept going back to this one online for weeks just looking at it. Finally pulled the trigger. 35F53810-9124-454E-BD17-2129332489C0.jpeg 5303AB09-056F-4C10-BDD1-917DE962832D.jpeg E9ADD944-A39B-41B3-961D-7D336C6EAF3D.jpeg 7BCAB46D-7256-4444-BA68-08ED4E46F085.jpeg 26E7FD45-8242-4395-BA8F-A19CC2D1A546.jpeg 435CB769-D908-4490-B932-80EDD19F37A9.jpeg EABA5A94-0ADC-4AF4-9FF3-DEFD6BA6F541.jpeg 84805FFE-0D2F-4D31-B609-34D631AB4F82.jpeg

Thanks guys! I finally got a chance to swap on flatwounds and give it my slammed to the frets setup. It just feels so good, just fat thick tone you’d expect from a pbass.

Sweet Jezuz that is a beautiful balls. I would love to have one with the pup cover on to plant my thumb. I am not a bass player, but I dabble. I have a Music Man Stingray and it’s my only bass. Got Labella flats on it.

‘Happy New Bass Day. I am Jealous.

My go to flats for any split pickup pbass are the La Bella flats. I do have the covers but for me I prefer to plant my thump right on the pickup.

I'm not usually a fan of heavy relics because they often look contrived but I gotta say that one looks quite realistic...whoever relic'd it at the factory deserves a raise!!Enjpy your new bass!!

Yeah I was pretty hesitant as I used to love heavy relics when they first came out. Then they started getting really odd and way over done. This was the only 60’s pbass I’ve ever seen actually in stock that I could get my hands on. I couldn’t physically get my hands on it but a quick store transfer made it happen.

I’m glad I made the decision and had it shipped to my store. A few trade ins and some cash, some more cash and it was mine!

The big part of the reason why I went with this heavy relic was because it actually did look like the real deal. It’s probably the closest I’ll get to a real 1960 precision. Even a refin would be out of my price range so a heavy relic will do.
