Why does a person's "ghosts"... always look like tv/movie ghosts?
Just like almost everyone’s near death experience looks like the belief system they’re raised with.
I have no ghost stories but I do enjoy hearing them. I try to keep an open mind about these types of things as others have said, we don’t know everything this universe is about so it’s hard to rule that type of stuff out.
Maybe you're thinking of it backwards. Maybe the cliche TV representation of a ghost got that way because it's based on hundreds of years of people's descriptions that boil down to that?
Same! I've got a couple of experiences that I can't explain, but I'm hesitant to call them ghost stories, but I like hearing other people's stories just the same!
In an infinite universe with any number of potential dimensions that might overlap our own, anything is possible and probably likely.
When I. Was a kid Walt Disney ran the movie Darby O’Gill and the little people. right around Halloween. Scared the crap out of me. Scared my wife too so we decided last year to watch it again. Up comes the banshee and we’re going wtf, was that it? Really?
I wouldn’t worry about it. Hiding stuff isn’t malicious, it’s just playing with you. I talk to ours all the time when something goes missing. If it was malicious you’d know it.
Our little visitor is a long story so I will leave it at that, but she is active....
Damn I loved that radio program!
Careful what you ask for.
And you could actually fall asleep in that bedroom? You were a MAN child! I couldn’t do it today, at 56.
My dad died of Parkinson's disease. In the later stages he had hallucinations. I'll admit, I have had a few "instances" that were strange, but don't believe the whole ghost thing. I had some friends that owned a bar, and there was a hatch in the floor in the main room that went into the basement. They kept their stock in there. Long story short everyone of them "dared" me to go down there and stay the night. They, and all of their employees claimed that that basement was " extremely huanted". I took them up on their dare, and went down there. Fell asleep after a few hours. Yawn......
That stinks. Yep, it seems like with some sorts of dementia it comes with the territory as well. It’s sad. Sorry you and he had to go through that.
Been there. Eyes and ears open. Didn't sense or see a thing.
Beat me to it.... nice place. An hours drive for me... and yes you can get to it in winter by public road.
The only ghost story I have is pushing “phantom power” on my mixing console
LOL......it's not like they never barked just that they weren't always yipping like many small dogs do. One of the Shi Tzu was like a mama dog who kept the other two in line like Sister Mary Stigmata in the Blues Brothers....haha.
