    Hi all.

So....I am putting it out here to encourage discussion as to a seldom discussed topic.

What would be the model, spec or style of a logical choice for your next guitar?

I don't wanna know what you are gassing for.I just want to know what makes sense. Hey....you may need this thread to justify your purchase to the other half.

For me, I got a player HSS recently. And a fender Newporter player. A gretsch streamliner 2420T. I have a fender jazz bass, and a jazzmaster kit with P90's, and a ukelele. All 'semi pro' gear. Good enough to take on any stage that I am likely to grace. So....
    What next?

I would like to get a CV Jag, CV Tele or else to do a partscaster SSS with a 7'25 neck. A Les Paul or something with hotrails is on the cards too.

I am not asking advice on what to get. This is just a safe space where you can talk about what is missing from the collection in your hearts and minds.

That's it. A pink jazzmaster or strat 3/4 for her to learn on.

I had the HB TE70rw. Thing was good, but needed a lot of finishing. Lemme know how it goes of you think of me.

My next will be a Gibson SG with large pickguard. I am going to sell a guitar or two, of my lower end guitars, and order it. Don’t know when though.

Does it make sense? Will I appreciate in value? Does it give you something you need? Cos it sounds like your gassing man. We have councillors for that kind of thing.

Both forms of American Original Telecaster, with the word "Custom" attached. To me, Custom Telecaster, double bound, rosewood board. Burgundy Mist please. Tele Custom, big fat bucker up front. Had a couple of them as a kid. Spensive stuff, so slow going.

Probably not, however it is a wonderful guitar the SS88. Probably the best guitar I've played. It would give me that late 60's Hendrix, Gilmour, Blackmore vibe for a reasonable price. Here's my sunburst for reference.

I have something to add to this. I recently started playing my first guitar again that I’ve had for almost 20 years now and realized how good it plays and sounds. It’s an Epiphone but it plays as good or better than my Gibson. Makes me think it’s better to have only a few guitars and play the hell out of them and to really bond with them than looking for the next thing all the time.

Saw analysis of 5 LP type guitars, and the epi had better sustain than the Gibson

My next will be a 335 or in the family. Not set on a color but the neck needs to be bigger than the 60s type
