About the last year and a half, I’ve been buying, selling..repeat..almost everything. Been through about a half dozen amps and pedals but finally I believe that I’m all set. I reached what I’ve been trying to accomplish. I’ve found my sounds. No more gas The gear I have now should keep me busy learning it and advancing for quite some time and it puts a smile on my face every time that I plug in. It’s around midrange stuff 2 guitars Strat and tele 3 amps Two Mesas and a Jc 40 4 pedals I was trying to keep it simple. Anyone else all done ? Content? Feel like you’ve hit the jackpot with what you have ?
I sure have. I’m not looking for more guitars, online or in person. However a guy that I was going to buy a Fender HM Strat from over the summer called me up last night. He wanted to know if I was still interested in it. I told him I didn’t have the money right now, but my wife offered to buy it for me, so I guess I will have a new guitar next week. This will be the 4th one I’ve acquired since the end of November.
15 guitars and 9 amps. I'm actually more than content at this point. Been "thinking" about getting rid of 3 of the guitars, and 1 of the amps. But I probably won't.
Basically, yea. Although it would be nice to have a tele, a bass and a 12 string, my bases are basically covered with my LP, Strat and Taylor. I got two nice amps for stereo, and few pedals. I'm good.
Never! Bought 4 guitars in the past 14 months, PRS Custom 22, Taylor 914, PRS Silver Sky and Taylor K14 Builders Edition. Looking at a Gibson Les Paul Special tonight at GC I may buy and I’m looking at a PRS McCarty 594 semi or full hollow body or a PRS Special Semi Hollow now that they brought those back for 2021. Also want a smaller acoustic so I’m looking at the Taylor K22 or a Martin CEO 9. I’m also a sucker for Fuzz Faces so I buy them and clones all the time.
I have six guitars, which I already feel is too many. Two SGs, two Explorers, one Strat and one Les Paul. But I still want a nice Flying V. Thought about ordering an Epiphone one, I really like the look of it. But the fact that I feel that I have too many is what is stopping me. That and once the new guitar is actually in my hands, I cant help but feel kind of empty. I still suck at guitar, new guitar or not. And i dont like having so many guitars that some just live in their cases. That said, I love the guitars I have and cant really imagine selling any of them. Inner conflict in a very "first world problem" kind of way. With all that is going on, I dont know why I let myself care that much about how many guitars I have. Lol
I am good on amp and pedals. I have started building guitars, so I would have to say I am not content. I am enjoying the homemade guitars more than the store-bought.
Yup! I've been content for ages although that doesn't stop me buying more from time to time just to see if I'm missing anything. I'm not!
Question: Is this just guitars, amps, stuff for guitars and amps or does it include, say, oh, maybe a half dozen purchases of drum equipment including another kit, 50 year old snare drum, and hardware, software for recording and such?
Yes very happy with my current gear love my 2 Yamaha guitars and could not be happier with my line 6 helix and Powercab plus, also very satisfied with my audio interface and monitors for recording That being said I still have 3 more electric guitars that I’d like to have in my Arsenal Stone
