That was me. Almost exactly. I’m definitely an idiot. I was switching so much stuff and it didn’t really matter, but I’m done now. I’m happy, I’m content.
It’s all just been in my head , like to much time in my hands. I’m just going to practice now.

I think it's possible I might have had everything I wanted gear wise. I've been buying, selling & trading guitars pretty constantly for well over a couple decades.

At Christmas I sold a Les Paul & made $1300 profit (plus the initial cost back) & I still have the cash. A lot of things I would have jumped on even 6 months ago have come up in my area but I feel I'm not in need of anything. It's odd.

Funny...I have the exact opposite problem

With all the guitars I have, I don't why I bother with everything else..

Im good. Six guitars, 5 amps, two stereo setups with one spare amp and two pedalboards. I'd like one other guitar but to do that one I'd probably trade two in

Yes. I am content. A strat, a strat clone, an SG clone, a super strat, a banjo, and two acoustics. I also have a Boss Katana and an Orange Rocker 15 Terror all tube amp.

I think all of the bases I am interested in are covered.

I don't know why I surf this forum. Maybe because I'm retired and not into hiking.

    I have 4 electrics
    • '82 Fender Bullet S-3 with DiMarzio pups.
    • Fender Custom Telecaster FMT-HH with stock S-D pups.
    • Pinup (boutique) thinline.
    • '91 EBMM Silhouette HSH.
    3 acoustic/electrics
    • Larrivee C-03
    • 70's Alvarez Tree of Life
    • Dillion 360 ES
    Electric Amp: Allen Sweet Spot

Acoustic Amp: G-K MB-200 head on Acoustic Image Contra EX speaker (also works for bass for "acoustic" sessions")

I'm satisfied with what I've got, just not playing enough.

We changed houses last June and I needed to sell 2 amps - '69 Super Reverb and a Dr. Z MAZ18 Jr. That sort of hurt because they were such spectacular amps, but I really only needed one and I've reached the age where it was really a strain to get either of them in or out of the car's trunk.

Content and always have been but if something sparks my interest it doesn't mean I don't look, try or buy.

This last year I bought a Fender Hand Wired Princeton Reverb Custom whatever, which is sitting in the garage. What am I playing? A $450 Vox ac10 that I put an Okko Diablo in front of (bought off Reverb). As soon as I messed around with a few knobs- BAM! There it was, the sound I've always wanted! If I left the house, I'd think to myself... You only think it sounds good, you'll get home and it will sound crappy... This always happens... But no! Everytime I plug in and turn it on... Oh my! The killer, woody, Stratty sound...

So no one is allowed near my little amp station, and God forbid if you touch those knobs.

Strat (my beloved Stratocaster!), Tele, 3 amps, a crapload of pedals, and a wonderful Okko Diablo...

    Happy happy happy

How can I be content when I know there is gear out there I haven't tried or that I've always been curious about???
And when it's a great deal too?

In truth I'm already able to get the sounds I want with the gear I have.
Gibson, Fender, Squier, PRS, Charvel, Schector Epiphone, Guild, Alvarez and other guitars...
Marshall, Fender, Mesa/Boogie, Peavey, Vox and other amps...

I can usually put together the right rig for any situation to get the sound and/or volume I want.
