Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining because 17~18hrs is normal in my gig but there gets to be that tipping point! I just did two back to back 20hr shifts (my personal best was 27hrs but that was 20yrs ago) and the weekend will be dedicated to sleep interspersed with semi-coherent posts here. The tv/film game is not for the faint of heart and you know in the first couple of weeks on the job if you can do it or not...30+yrs later I wonder why I still do it? Well... 1) I like it and nobody is going to make me retire...serious family vibe on set on a long running show 2) By our union contract, as the hours pile up the $$$ gets insane 3) It beats the hell out of "working for a living" as in 9to5 cubicle rodent crap Big hours/brutal biz?
