    Somebody is jealous.

If you don't like something, stop giving it your attention. You aren't required to watch anything. Ignore it.

The length of their videos with the mindless chatter is what turns me off. I think maybe its a British cultural thing, in which case makes it excusable. It might be my preference for people simply getting to the point. Anderton's info is informative so I ff past the chatter.

edit: I bought a Gretsch 2420 after watching one of their videos. Rob's excitement about it was contagious and the G2420 is a keeper.

Your OP does come off as a rant, like it or not it is true, and this seems like a bit of an over reaction. As far as I can tell, nobody attacked you, you just seem offended that anyone might not agree with your opinion.

Seems like there has been a lot of this going on here lately.

My level of interest in Andertons videos has gone way down. At least Rob Chapman was funny half the time. "Danish" Pete Honore, while an excellent guitarist, is a boring sycophant. If he would just play he might be acceptable, but as soon as he opens his mouth I shut it down.

Hey man, I want to apologize. I didn't mean to offend anyone and shouldn't judge a whole community by a few YT post I've seen. I truly meant no offense and I Am Sorry I offended you.

    Don't worry about it mate.

I'm British and it didn't offend me in the slightest.

Some people are too thin skinned.

Never been a fan of that channel. I'm not a fan, of demo channels, period. I've heard enough demos from paid advertisers(content creators) on YouTube.

Make sure what you're watching is an actual review and not just a paid advertisement/demo. I doubt most of Andertons stuff is reviews. It's mostly demos. Something I have zero interest in. Same goes for Darrell Braun. 99% of his stuff is demos, not reviews. Bad thing is that you can't tell which is which on his channel because hes not very open about sponsored vids where people like Shane @ InTheBlues is completely transparent about every piece of gear he demos and reviews. Same for Ryan @ 60 Cycle Hum. He reviewed the Positive Grid Spark about a week or 10 days ago and was working on getting them as a sponsor when they sent him a Spark to review.

He was not impressed and he made that quite clear. Even at the chance of not getting the sponsorship or whatever, he still gave it a bad review and was clear that they sent it to him just to review. You won't see that from a lot of channels. They would've just stuck to the good things about it in order to get that sponsorship. Like Darrell Braun. He NEVER has a bad review about a product. That's why I don't call him a reviewer. He does demos. That's it. If I'm looking for an actual, honest opinion, I go somewhere other than Darrells channel. I go somewhere like InTheBlues or somewhere similar lol

I'm not even close to being among the most privileged in the world. That preposterous.

If by "among the most privileged people in the world", you mean "in a first world country" then yes. Otherwise no. Not even close to being among the most privileged.

Its perhaps a sign of the times that forumites used to talk about musicians and music and now we talk about YouTube influencers and advertising (which pretty much everything on YouTube is).

The high water mark of Andertons content was Guitar Paradiso imho. I could listen to the likes of Ariel Posen, Mick Taylor and Pete noodle along all day long..

As for the rest of it, its idle fancy really. Can't get too excited about it. :p

In terms of the vibe coming of Andertons content these days? I guess its the same old same old by and large.

If there's one thing we should all have taken away from Andertons many years of product demos its that you can plug anything in to a boutique amp and sound good and if you can't afford a Victory or a Dr Z then a DLS40c will do the job just as effectively in the right hands.

I really don’t mind their videos. They have a video for just about every piece of gear I’ve wanted to research, so that’s made my life a little easier. Lee seems like a good guy. I enjoy the pair that do the “sound like (insert band name) by busting/without busting the bank”. Danish Pete seems like he’s a bit of a pushy guy, but there’s no denying his skills. I like Pete infinitely more than Chapman. Overall, I appreciate what they do.

Geez. It's just basic product placement. Wtf is Andertons supposed to do about our $h!tty lives other than sell gear and entertain us. I ain't about to hate on Danish Pete for getting himself into that position.

But I also don't watch many Andertons videos.

The real problem is that they can't make a video less than 30 minutes.

Don't we ignore our loved ones enough already?
