I never thought I'd have an orange guitar, but I did, for a short time. Here's what it looked like: 5fd0f3de6fb966d38e01a4b3_RG_ROFM_main.png

It was a Reverend Reeves Gabrels.

Got a body and a rattle can waiting for me to finally press the button!

(neck and all the rest is still a big mystery though... as is the time to completion)

    2004 Candy Tangerine Deluxe Strat.

Took S1 and pearlized pickguard off and replaced with custom 69 pick ups and parchment pickguard and back cover.

I owned this one for a while until one of my friends bought it from me. It's a 2007 Gretsch G5120.

Just received pics of the body I had painted candy tangerine, with some pearl accents and a satin clear coat (with headstock painted to match). Will do a thread on the build once I receive it and begin assembly, but the essence is a body inspired by the Ibanez PIA (newer version of the JEM) and a neck from an Ibanez RG1070. Here are a few of the pics:

Dammit, now I have to get a pearloid pg for my Capri Player. I love pearloid on white and yellow Strats, but I did not realize how good it would look on orange. Well done.

Too many of these have been amber or bursts. Here's a proper, in yer face orange - I love it!

One regret as a teenager was not owning the bright orange single humbucker hardtail squier bullet with black hardware... this thread reminds me I still want one!

    Here’s the closest I have:

I'm surprised no one has one of the recent Squier Affinities in orange. I could actually afford one right now, but I've got other things that are far more of a priority.

I got this Stagg at a pawn shop for 30 bucks less than 200 Cdn. I couldn't walk away from it because 1.) It has a most unusual paint job. 2. Frets 12 through 22 are scalloped. Not that this is somehow an advantage. To me anyway. 3.) I like the tele/strat hybrid ness of it. 4.) Really good condition. I bo't it without trying it first. It turned out to be easy to love this Stagg. The neck is outstanding. 20210323_074430.jpg 20210323_074430.jpg 20210323_074603.jpg
