I have a DSL40 with a Creamback in it. Sounds fantastic. I use the clean channel more than the ultra crunch or whatever it’s called. [IMG]

Creamback must be one of the go to speakers. A lot of users here has mentioned it.

It's definitely one of the most popular variants. Mine didn't come with it, but I put one in. Sounds better, but not dramatically so, IMHO.

Yeah it's only been a few months and I haven't really played the sh*t out of it yet. Thought about putting the looper on and just leaving it for a few hours, but the dogs would freak.

No that's a logical statement. I already have a Blackstar HT20 though:D, just want to add a "real" Marshall to the equation.

Thanks everyone for the input, I appreciate it. I've read in the past few days that the reverb in these gets little ir no love due to not being very good. I love reverb so this could be a major no no for me. What do you guys think of the reverb then?

Think of the DSL40c ( I can NOT speak for the newer 40 CR though ) as an amp that does NOT come with Reverb.

Audition some reverb pedals for the 40c - you'll need one.

Yeah like I said above, if you love deep reverb, get a pedal. If you must have it on-board, this is not your amp.

yeah, the reverb isn't all that great.....you gotta turn it at least half way to notice it. still, it's better than what's on my ac30, imo.

I hope the 40 sounds better than the 20. My DSL 20 lasted a week. To each his zone. Try it first!!

you might have gotten a fizzy one.
I got lucky, but I bought it used as a floor model and figured no one in their right mind would use a fizzy amp as a floor model.

I had a HT20, it’s a good amp but the dsl40c is a lot better amp. Not even the same. I thing the reverb on the Dsl40c is not that bad. I have reverb pedals and never use them and trust me I love reverb.
