Anime about high school kids playing jazz. As is usual on the anime stuff, the music is amazingly good and the stories are kind of universal. The anime also tend to get details right: If it's a story about jazz, it's going to feature important jazz. I am only on episode three but it's been very good so far.

Japan has an appreciation of much of Western music. The background track for this scene starts out as a Tom Waits song, if I'm not mistaken, then takes its' own track:

It's too bad the anime style is off-putting to many, including me, with some exceptions, it has a lot to offer, Cowboy Bebop for instance. Fantastic series.

Going to watch that soon. I need some escapism at this time. I am binge watching the jazz story right now.

Great music and well put together. I have super duper stress and time on my hands so I binged watched the whole series. Most I have watched anything in many years. Guess I will start Cowboy Bebop.
