Gawd, my mother brought that monkey sh*t home once. Thought I'd done something wrong and was being punished. My dog wouldn't touch it either...he was no help. Finally I asked for some broccoli instead.

    She got the message.

Yes, luckily I ate the far more nutritional Lucky Charms. They're magically delicious! All part of this nutritious breakfast. Some parts not included. Not available in some states. Void where prohibited. We'll be back, right after these messages. If consumed, induce vomiting. And know, deep down inside, you're good enough, you're smart enough, and doggone it, people like you.

I was a kid in the 70s. Sugar was a good thing, it gave you energy. There was Sugar Frosted Flakes, Sugar Bear, Sugar Smacks. The list goes on. They now replace "Sugar" with "Honey". It's more healthy once they changed the name.

We got King Vitaman - it was a tired repro of Das Commisar, but I lived to tell the tale. It came in bags - always bugged me.

    Yeah, USA all the way.
We had those shabby oat flakes without any sugar or raisins for breakfast - tough stuff but so healthy (it was not - I hated that ****).
The ´70s opened up and all those fancy sugar mealted pretty stuff came all over Germany.
Corn Flakes, crunch what the ****s of nuts and sugar and honey and all the tasty stuff they could put in there.
    I loved those time.
No paper like oat flakes - gone forever and banned \m/
I started listening to more heavier stuff - maybe because of the sweet stuff? xD
We had it good back then.

    Life is good,
    Robin

Butt-seriously, dodging diabetes will change a person's outlook on sugar and carbs once and for all.
Being sent off of dairy by a neurologist (interesting story, which you shouldn't ask me about sometime)
was the nail in the coffin for cereal, along with (yummy) oat milk having a high glycemic load. But even
before that, it was only Shredded Wheat, Cheerios, or wheat germ (or oatmeal) for years. But as a kid
I gorged on the usual sugar-loaded suspects, and the plain ones with enough sugar spooned on to turn the
milk at the end into paste. Now I don't even look at a lot of food as actually being food:eek:. White bread,
animal flesh, sugar, cow squeezings, iceberg lettuce. o_O Been there, made it out alive and non-obese

edit: I'm not really quite that much of a veg-snob. people do whatever, I don't judge, but I have to do what's right for me
