I've got a '97 Chevy Pickup truck that's "relic'ed" as a "relic" it has to be worth at least 35,000$.

It has rust, faded paint, leaking shocks, loose U-joints, bad brakes, a seized engine, faded and ripped interior, and a cracked windshield.

OH, the truck is a worn out POS ?

Well, now you know how I feel, about your beat up, old guitar...

I thought people would see the humor in this post.

For the record I have Reliced Fender Custom shop guitars.
And I don't care if you like or dislike Relics, that's your choice to make. I like them. I also have and like brand spanking new Fender Custom shop guitars without any relicing

And really, anyone who is getting their panties in a bunch over a pretty girl talking nonsense to a cat about relic guitars should get a hot g.f, a job and move outta your mom's basement.

What kinda simpleton gets riled up over this .....

When I was 14 and just learning to play, I couldn’t figure out tone controls on my amp. I wasn’t aware of turning the knobs, so I dug out the manual for the amp, which was my first amp, Peavey Decade.

Tones for the tonally un aware manual had starter settings in it.there was settings for “British” And one for American. And a few others. So I just picked which one I liked best. IT was aPeavey, there was no way to get it do sound like a Marshall Or a Vox, or a Fender. It also could be overdriven by turning a couple of knobs. It wasn’t as nice as any cheap distortion box on the market back then.

We usually get at least 5-6 pages on a relic thread with some great insults, this one isn’t doing very well. You might want to post something like “all my relic’d strats were made from rare and endangered trees”. That’ll pop some heads.

Few and far between really good ones, cheap relic are the worst. But play whatever you like. It’s all in the eye of the beholder. You don’t tell people their wife is ugly.
