Astrolith Visions - surf music release

Hi all! We, Zak and the Krakens, just released our second original album on most digital platforms. It is in the style of 60s surf instrumental music but with a modern touch. The main guitar sound is a strat into a tube reverb tank into a '73 super reverb; I used the occasional pedal for dirt or other flavor here and there. The whole album was recorded with a single MIA strat with fat 50s.

I am using a lot the bridge+neck combination. I think it is a pity strats aren't wired with that option by default. You can hear it clearly in the Spaghetti Theory song. Also the amp is at the sweet spot, I really like that tone

This album is great. I like The Shadows and The Ventures a lot, but I always feel like there’s something missing, like they should take it a little further. Your album has more punch and interesting dynamics. I’ve been listening to it while driving today. I like the artwork and ‘50s sci fi theme too.

Highly recommend to anyone that likes Surf Rock.
