At home with the flu

I came down with it on saturday. Some pretty mean stuff this year. I worked really hard saturday morning but when I went inside to sit down for a few minutes my fever skyrocketed. Got up to 106 degree's. I just curled up in a chair and did not move for 5 hours. I felt a little better Sunday but a little feverous if thats a word. Yesterday was my birthday and I was blessed with feeling fairly well. Been having to change my bed sheets everyday from waking up sweaty except this morning. Im really sore everywhere with a headache. This morning I went to the junk yard to get some parts for a car I am working on. Was very hot here in Florida today. I was ok as long as I was working but on the way back home felt the fever coming back. Spent the last few hours laying on the couch feeling terrible. Will be happy when I am over this. The flu sucks

I thought that I got one too but guess I did not. I had a liver transplant back in 2005 and have to take immune suppressants the rest of my life. Seems like I catch everything.

Yeah I would have gone to the ER but there is no way I could have. Could not even stand up . I tried 3 times but fell back down in the chair. I did make it up one time but had no balance at all. I felt like I was going to die. I thought about calling my son and ask him to check on me the next day in case I did die. But really did not feel like even doing that.

i know - had two of them this season - one for Thanksgiving, one for Christmas. sickest i've been in a very long time, with hallucinations, snot pouring out of my eyes, all sorts of nasty crap. this year's diseases are probably some kind of payback for all the "safety" of recent years.

I know we're all reticent to do it, but you could always call 911 if it's that bad and have them pick you up.

Coughing up yellow green day N night
FLu sucks
All sickness stinks...
Are you getting any tamiflu..
Does shorten it a bit

I called the Mayo Clinic transplant center last night to see what I can take. They will call me this morning and let me know. Im limited to what meds I can take being a liver transplant recipient. I can take Tylenol but not asprin, Can not take anything that could have adverse effects on my liver.
