That sort of thing would scare the willies out of me, probably scare anybody with any sense. My best wishes for a quick recovery!
Get well soon Got my 10th colonoscopy scheduled for Feb 1st My first one resulted in them taking out several inches of colon due to cancer So I don't mind the procedure, death would be worse
I'll keep you in my prayers. While I don't have any identifiable disorders in that area, I definitely have what many people refer to as a "sensitive stomach". I joke to my friends that I can eat 3 things; oatmeal, salad, and vodka. It's not quite that bad, but almost. So the runs and I are old friends. Yeah, it's a nightmare. They put me to sleep during, so that part is not bad at all. And it's typically a nice high when I finally wake up. And I take the "only clear liquids" afterward very seriously. Vodka is clear...
Aw! Get well soon! (I usually add a hug to my posts, but I don't think I want to squeeze you right now )
My sister has Crohns. After several resections where they did a cut and shut job on her large intestine, and revisions to fix the internal adhesions, she eventually had the large intestine removed and a bag fitted. Athough not pleasant, she says it beats the alternative. I was told years ago that there was a genetic link with Crohns and psoriasis which my mother had really badly. I have it but not too seriously anymore, and consider myself lucky in comparison.
I'd wish you a speedy recovery, but you and I both know Crohn's is something one doesn't recover from. If we're lucky, we manage. ***** Good luck. *ETA... I deleted a short essay based on 20+ years of surgeries, treatments, hospitals, diets, meds, and something on the order of almost 100 colonoscopies. It's intent was to inspire confidence in embracing the endoscope...but really qualifies as TMI. One of those nights....you know what I mean. I know all too well what you are experiencing. I wish you the best. If you're up for talking treatment & surgical stuff, shoot off a PM...I promise not to terrify you... best of luck...really
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Have your doctors, ruled out Mekels? My young nephew had it about 15 year ago and we almost lost him to blood loss. It is rare and had they not looked for it by chance, he wouldn't have gone on to become the awesome humanitarian, he is today. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/14738-meckels-diverticulum
Never had a colonoscopy. Have regular cystoscopies though. Now THAT procedure is a barrel of laughs! Last few times I’ve had a really attractive female Dr do it. Always a challenge to not respond lol
