Can't help you here.
Bigger entourage than DMX - impressive
You see, they are girls and are bad.
Seeing how bad some of the drivers are, I would think she would be "bangin' on the car door" rather than the dashboard.
i like this one better:
I doubt that was shot in Saudi Arabia. Not wearing a hijab would get our bad girl in trouble.
that was some real interesting music Marty
I gave it an honest 20 second listen.
They seem angry about something. Maybe all that dust messed up their hair?
Typical Abu issues methinks.
I don't understand any Rap. The violence , sexism, braggadocio,
and toxic aggressiveness just aren't appealing to me. A lot
of the music seems simplistic, but like with all music, there
ARE talented people doing quality work. I've just never been
arsed to go find the good Rap.
Hope this helps
Nas my friend.
Go listen to Nas.
I mean LISTEN
take any of his songs and try to comprehend the lyrics, how his flow interacts with the melody.
Yeah, then there are the pelvic thrusts in some scenes, too. Off with her head!
Really wish that I could help you on this one.
Well, actually, no, I don't.
I dont understand the vid's:
And have no interest in putting in time to decipher or debate it.
But I do welcome other posts from you.
I expect this was shot in Qatar(I lived there for a year). Also, the rapper is a Sri Lankan born Brit, so no hijab is required.
Personally, I love this vid.
I should explain... the drivers are excellent- probably no professionals here, just street racers having fun- a common thing in Qatar, UAE, etc.
Also, the fact that there are lots of males and females shows a nice modernity of the younger generation, although there were no women except the singer in the street racing scenes), even if the music is less than excellent and the style gaudy.
Then again, it could all be staged. I kind of hope it wasn't.
EDIT: I watched it a second time (seriously, I did) and the thobes (male formal robes) are not Qatari. They are pretty distinct between countries. Maybe these were Yememish (?). Anyone recognize this style of thobe?
I watched the whole thing and I didn’t see or hear that Strat solo
That songs like 9 years old. Practically an oldie. Lol
More on M.I.A.
Yeah, there wasn't even an oud solo. Epic fail!
After I posted this I happened to notice it was from 2012. I think I was just too mesmerized at the time to notice such trifling details.
It actually first came out in 2010.
In '09 she was one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential people. She's been around a while.
I'm not real up on Sri Lankan female pop/rap stars, so I'd never heard of her. Quite the bio she has.
