"Bad" movies that you like

It is so bad that it circles all the way back around to good, and that's why people love it. When you first start watching it, it's like a horrible bus accident; you don't want to look but you can't help yourself.
After about 15 minutes though you're fully invested, and you'll want to see it again.
Another in this same vein is Troll 2, just so bad that it's great.
Yes, I own both. Whenever I visit my bro one of the things we do is check out a new bad movie.

 

But how am I supposed to know what others think?

Some movies that really suck have people singing praises about them.

And if you ask a director, or an actor, or a producer, they'll tell you that their current movie is a cinematic tour de force (until the falling out and then it will become dog doo)...

There was a dog of a movie by Alan Rudolph, part of which was shot in my studio in Portland...I vacated for the duration...It is called Love at Large.

I've heard that there used to be an expression about getting in a movie, something to the effect of

"who do I have to 'do it' with to get in this movie"

A friend was working as a location production person on this movie. About half way through shooting she would say several times a day

"who do i have to 'do it ' with to get off this f**king movie"

so...I guess it depends upon who you ask and when you ask them.

I couldnt make it thru all the titles cause they were all actually bad.

Big Trouble in Little China is a classic.

 

We’d pick out movies just based on the cover art

Worth watching for the "pool scene" alone. Might be one of the most unintentionally hilarious scenes in movie history. Poor Kyle MacLachlan

 

Return of the Living Dead, Part II.

It received a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, and even that may have been a little generous. But we watched it in college and absolutely howled at how painfully awkward the dialogue was. We still quote it 30+ years later.

• "They're ugly and they're dirty and they're dumb, and I won't let them touch me!"
• "That's why you're dead, ass-wipe!"

To be fair, beer was involved. For us, at least. Perhaps for the screenwriter, as well.

 

Sharknado should probably be on the list.

I mean how could it not?
