Best ear protection ? Specifically for bass.

    Its like the hiss of an amp ;(

    That's what mine's like. But over the years, it's gone from 'Did I leave an amp on?' to 'Sounds like all the stacks are warmed up, "Please welcome to the stage The Who!"...' The scariest things are a) I don't know how bad this is going to get in the future, and b) The last time I saw an audiologist, I got the distinct impression the emphasis was on managing my expectations, rather than any real solutions. Believe me, if I could turn the clock back 50 years, I'd be a lot more careful. Alas, my life isn't Groundhog Day, so I don't keep coming back slightly smarter.

    I was going to post that since bass have no external ears you'd have to use earmuffs with a headband, but that would be silly...
