One of my favourite bands. No... one of my top five bands! I love them: their songs, the atmospheres, their voices, their instruments, their genres (noise, shoegaze, garage, some folk), all that black...

Do you like them? Do you hate them? Or do you think they are nothing special? Just good? Do you love them?
I'd like to read your sincere opinions. Thanks.

Well, it's good opportunity to know a new band and to listen to unknown music. I like to find out new music! For example, I found out Kingdom Come, a late 80s and 90s hard rock band only a couple of weeks ago. And I like it, I've already learnt to play three songs.

I saw them once or twice in a few bars in San Francisco in their early days, I didn't really think much of them but that's probably cause I was to busy drinking. I do remember coming out of the bar one night and they were loading a pickup truck up with their gear and one of the guys let an amp fall over and they were yelling and screaming at each other. My friend sent me a CD a good few years ago with a bunch of songs by them from the album "Howl" and I really liked it and have dug their stuff since. Shame I wasn't paying attention at those early gigs

Are they still around? I've listened a lot to them during the "Spread Your Love" time. Love Salvation. Okay maybe nothing sensational or super innovative stuff, but they have catchy riffs and tunes & that's always cool.

    I ask to you all:
Are we really looking for something innovative every time we listen to music?
My answer is negative. Yes, I also like innovative music. But thinking about my musical tastes, I don't consider a bunch of bands I love under the tags "innovative", "revival", "original". I think: cool! Not really cool and something like that. Yes, I can do deep critics and reasoning about innovators, creators etc. I read musical biographies and magazines, but for example I super love the band Grandaddy. Are they innovative? No idea. Maybe. But I love their songs because they I like their own identity.
Queens of the stone age are innovative. I love them too, but not because they are original. Just think that Josh Homme is so cool.

This post is not meant to argue with you, but just to have a chat and think aloud.

    Nice story!
It's not easy to know which bands are going to be famous and which are going to disappear.
I saw their gig in Rome, Italy (where I live) after their third album. I liked it a lot. Liked even the light on the stage ahahah: instead to be high, over their heads as usual, yellow lights were on the floor illuminating them from behind so you can see just the shape of their bodies and of their instruments. All black.

No one's arguing with you.If you don't like opposing views then don't post asking for peoples opinions. You got exactly what you asked for, like it or not.

    Do you like to misunderstand?
I like opposing views. And just because I like them I said that I was not going to argue but just to think aloud. Otherwise I wouldn't have said so.
