This is a Squier Strat that originally came with a mirror pickguard. I initially replaced that with a tortoise shell pickguard, but since I have the black headstock on this guitar, I decided to black it all out. I put on black hardware, including black Planet Waves tuners, recessed Dunlop straplocks, and a traditional bridge instead of the two-point trem. I scalloped the neck from the 12th to the 22nd. I also replaced the white dots with ebony dots, and stained the neck black to match. With the SD JB in the bridge and a Hot Rails in the neck (stock middle), it plays and sounds amazing. Plenty of quack when I split the coils.
