I love the way our UK friends speak. Their vocabulary fascinates me. I probably should have studied languages in my youth.

No ukoldgit. Tennis out and more five day cricket matches please. Plus, British GP at Silverstone ~ what else could a young boy want? World Cup final tomorrow, England set to play another blinder, but need to play at their best and not underestimate the All Blacks.

That’s very true! It’s a shame that Geoff can’t still get into the Test team to show us all how the game should be played! I’m not keen on this hit and run stuff, it’s lost much of the test of mind and skills of the real game.:D

We were sitting in a bar one night, probably 10 years ago. Had just finished a dart league match. In walks in this yank from Ohio I believe it was. He yells out over everyone. "Do you guys ever play Cornhole around here?" The room grew silent. One patron yells out, " this ain't that kinda bar buddy!"
Later I find out the northern meaning is different from the southern meaning.:D

I like sports, but I don't understand why anyone watches professional athletes compete against each other. "My" teams have absolutely nothing to do with me or my state or city, and their reason to play is primarily to make money. Participating in a friendly softball game with friends, or playing golf or tennis or your choice of other sports is an infinitely better way to spend free time enjoying a sport.
