I've had my KTN 50 since December and love it.
I have had the 100w 1x12 since January. I find a new depth to this amp whenever I apply the time to look deeper. I spend 98% of my time on the clean.
Is there a membership card or secret handshake?
Katana 50 owner - and worth the 9 week backorder wait !
(yes we need a secret handshake)
I've had mine about a week (100W 1X12); Forget the handshake, I'd rather have a MILKSHAKE!!!
PS: Something I forgot to mention, you not only get this great little amp, but it has all of those great Boss pedal/effects built into it too (although I haven't had time to explore them yet, due to family commitments, etc).
PMS: Here's a decent YT example of how it sounds:
Got my 100 112 yesterday.
I received my 100W Katana in the middle of Dec.
STILL waiting for the GA-FC that I ordered at the same time.
Had mine for about 2 week, great little amp, I think the other amps I have
are getting jealous.
( 100W 1-12 )
On the bright side the end of March is getting closer...
I have had the 50 for about a month.
anybody tried recording through the USB, I seem to get a fairly week signal, but I don't really know much about it, just tried using audacity on pc.
Hi Cuban. I record using mine. Use the Tone Studio / System tag to turn up the levels. Select Primary as both L & R input and output to record what would go to the amp speaker.. Secondary gives pre amp out signals.
I've never had any luck recording with Audacity because it doesn't support Asio drivers. It's a bit odd using the Katana with DAWs as you monitor with headphones plugged into the Katana. All output from the Katana is mono.
Thanks for the info, i'll have another go.
Just received my Katana 100 today and I've had a few hours to play with it. I already have a fantastic tone for my first channel. Clean channel with blues driver at around 9:00 and a little spring reverb. I was playing my LP through it and having a great old time and then decided to pull out the lowly Squier Affinity Tele. Whoa! The sounds I am getting are going to give the Gibson a run for it's money! I will be bringing both guitars to practice tomorrow.
That current 'goalpost' on the FA-FC footswitch:
Not long to go then.
You would think so ................
FYI: The Katana thread was closed. Hopefully, this thread will be a good place for constructive info on the Katana amps by and for Katana owners!
Yeah, I saw that. it's a shame.
Clean with some blues driver and verb is one of my favs also. Out of the box it was one of the first I used and sounds great with all my guitars.
Took me no time to dismiss Tone Studio as the variety of sounds via factory defaults is excellent.
Interesting to hear your thoughts after practice.
So this is the KTN home?
The warm and fuzzy no Katana shaming place?
That's the idea, how are you getting on with yours now?
So, no Katana, no Kantalka?
