sorry, but I was at work. and not even my wife knew. I think my wife said that she called to my daughter, "what's this in your room?". so, I suprised both of them. the more i showed her about the guitar and amp(it has an overdrive channel), the bigger her smile would get. yep,she was a very happy kid. thanks for asking.:D

I installed the tortoise shell pickguard separate.

It also has Fender Vintage 50s Reissue Pickups with aged white covers.

Hohnerfan, where did you get that aged pickguard that is on the daphne bullet? I am wanting either a mint or aged pickguard for my Classic Vibe 50's strat.

    Hi ccrnnr9
I found the PG on ebay, it is a old Fender and natural aged.
ebay is a good source for used and aged PG, but you have to search a little bit longer to find a good one.
    Greetings

ok, so the COB Bullets are here in town. but thing is, the necks on those are raw (unfinished). if i recall correctly, the CY's have a satin tint to their necks. is this supposed to be or are the ones here an inconsistent batch?

Wow i ove this thread, too bad mine is an affinity and a california( squier of course) I have a bullet project in mind in deed. love the idea of the block of wood in the tremolo, it is far better than having it break, im sure thinking of that mod:). Hey why are those pups so low? Do they make it sound more bluesy( yes im a newbie in guitars:D) Fan of bullets here too:D

    Usa Bullet

Hey all, I am new here to the forums and this is my first post. I just acquired a 08 American standard strat and I am loving it. I saw this topic on Bullets and thought I would throw in a pic of my 1981 usa bullet. I am actually thinking about selling it not that I got my strat but not sure. It is a excellent player and the tones are great too. What would something like this go for?. Anyways looking forward to reading the forums here.
    Cheers !!

Wow, Rob. that's a couple of nice looking guitars you have there. looks
like you've put alot of work into them. that "Beefy" Bulet really looks like
it got alot of "Beef" in the pick ups. where did you find the pick guard for
the "White Trash" Bullet ? job well done on both of them.

I really like that White Trash strat. It reminds me of a strat version of the LP jr.

Shade... that is a beatiful bullet!!
Picked up a 'burst myself as an experiment.
I'd wanted a strat for years (mainly Gibs and Washburns) and I got one of these since it was so dang cheap.
In all honesty, the quality is heaps better than my Squire Tele AND the Satin Deluxe HH (the Satin I purchased AFTER the bullet since the bullet basically rocked).
I did put Wilkinson Locking tuners on her, along with a graphite nut and hot rails in the bridge position. It's now my "do all" guitar.
The one thing I don't like (and I seem to be in the minority, here) is the weight. I actually like a heavier guitar....
    hmph...

You do great work Rob. Someday, just someday, I will buy a Squier and ship it straight to you for the magic workover.

    My Little Bullet

As promised, here are pictures of my upgraded Bullet. Guitar Fetish clearance pickup (sound great), Guitar Fetish electronics upgrade kit. Also got the Wilkenson Vintage Style tuners from Guitar Fetish. A tip of the cap to Rob DiStefano, I would not have considered this undertaking without his inspiration. I now have a absolutely great guitar for less that two bills. ;-p
