And to add to this. The neck plate has a plastic backing plate. That is not normal.
This is not looking 100% original!
Pickguard screws are wrong also
They have slotted heads.
Not sure about 1970, but I see the plastic/rubber under the neck plate a lot in 70's/80's Fenders. I have a 77 Musicmaster bass with it and had a 75 Musicmaster with it also.
I won't buy it without seeing full gut shots of routing of body, underside of pickups. Pots etc.... At least know what it's all about and see if that feels right for whatever they are asking.
I purposely bought a CIJ ST72 just because I liked the wider spacing and the neck shape...people (hopefully) buy a guitar that feels and sounds best in their hands, I honestly could care less the brand and colour, if it plays great and you sound good what else matters?
And some teles too if I'm not mistaken. Never on strats though.
