Hi everyone. So as much as I love older music, I also love Camila Cabello. I wanted to post about the black Fender Stratocaster she played during her performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show of Never Be The Same. Even though everyone claims it is not plugged in, I think this post should be more about the Stratocaster she is playing. She's also done a few promotional shoots with the Stratocaster, and played it while opening for Bruno Mars recently. Here is that Ellen performance, if anyone wants it:
Not sure what to comment on, yes she’s playing a Strat but I think it’s more of a prop. Nothing wrong with that btw.
Based on closeup pics I could find the truss plug is plastic and not walnut so it’s some kind of MIM Strat. Not a player as it’s got 6 screw bridge. Probably a std.
That’s a MIM standard. The same ones you find on craigslist for 400 bucks. That was an awful job miming guitar playing. She is hot enough to where only guitar players would possibly care. And she’s a good singer.
I've seen her on The Tonight Show w/Fallon a couple times playing various musical games and I was quite impressed at how musical she is. For example, singing silly song lyrics (like nursery rhymes, etc) in the style of other singers, or Google Translate lyrics. Very impressive.
Where did all those extra arms come from? That was creepy! Happened to me once on holiday in Italy. I lost my wallet...
The more young, well known people on TV with Strats, the better, IMO. Fake playing guitar got a lot of kids real playing guitar over the decades. It's a far cry from H.E.R. playing the heck out of her Strat, but I'll take the W.
I like her voice a lot I don’t know about the strat stuff though. She’s cool enough in my books. Dua Lipa and Doja Cat also go on my cool list for modern female pop stars.
