Hair became irrelevant when Phil Anselmo (Pantera) shaved his head. Rob Halford (Judas Priest) and Kerry King (Slayer) followed. That was it. Even though the world was focusing on grunge and its hair farmers, those fashions didn't catch on with the mainstream. Elton John started another trend by getting hair. I guess each fashion has its followers and admirers.

My hair used to be halfway down my back; now it's almost halfway up! Nobody told me about the incease in body hair as part of the aging process. Eyebrows, nostrils, ears, the works. I only need a black dress now to look like an Italian grandma.

One advantage in going grey though, nobody knows I'm secretly ginger!

Dear old Gary's jet black syrup is quite striking.

Love The Sweet and love Gary Numan stuff too. Gary Numan’s look has always been intense. Andy’s mop looks ridiculous. I think he’s the last remaining member of the original Sweet Lineup. Steve (are you ready Steve) passed on earlier this year I think. I never managed to see them or the two versions Andy’s Sweet or Brian Conolley’s Steve’s.

Ah yes. Sweet. I got to see them once. Warming up for Bob Seger of all things. 'Course, everyone had longer hair back then.

When I was young we had a dog that hated hats, caps, helmets and any other type of head covering, and would bark loudly at anyone so attired.

Our next door neighbor never understood why our dog went ballistic every time she saw him... :whistling:

Who cares if the carpets don’t match the drapes, LOL! They are still making better music than what is being pumped out today IMO.

Are you saying, with a straight face, that the grunge look never caught on with mainstream fashion?

No, what I meant by mainstream was people working in a formal office environment. They are the silent majority of music fans.

Rough crowd in here today! :D I'm convinced that Brett Michael's has a full on wig and the bandana is to focus the eyes on the bandana, not the hair. I still respect the dude for going out hundreds of nights a year and putting on shows...pre-COVID.
