I'm driving to Mom's house yesterday in heavy traffic, talking to her on the Bluetooth to see what she needs from the store, and becoming increasingly irritated by the distracted driver in front of me. At one point there must have been five car lengths between him and the car in front. I finally honk and blurt out "It's green, f'ing move already!".

Uh Oh... 94-year-old mom exclaims "what was that!". Talk about mortified.... She proceeded to lecture me about language, civility, blood pressure, and how her sainted father (we called him Poppyboy) never stooped to course language or let his temper get the better of him. All I could do is mumble "Yes, Mom, of course you're right, so sorry, won't happen again..." and of course, she IS right. I need to wipe certain words out of my vocabulary permanently and chill out a bit more...

Oh my... here in Tucson the winter birds have arrived... traffic is twice as bad... people drive 10 under the speed limit.. when the light turns green they accelerate so slowly that they don't even reach the speed limit by the time they get to the next light... The older I get, the less patient I get with slow drivers. It's more dangerous imo to drive like that... I'd pull them all over for impeding traffic if I was a police officer

I'm actually going to write a song soon called, "After work road rage"

My dad says I need to stop swearing so much in my music... He says it will reach a broader audience.. I don't know how to explain to him that I don't make music for everyone else, I do it for myself and if people enjoy it then God Bless them.. I also really don't swear that often, only a few songs

My dearly-departed father (John Kennedy by name), had many sayings.
One of which was, "the use of obscenities is the inability of a weak mind to express itself."

He also used to say, "horses sweat...men perspire...women glow..." typically when mom was down on all fours scrubbing floors or some such, and complaining to dad, "look at me John, I'm just sweating...". I was always amused by that scenario.

My dog has an aversion to specific words. She'll cower and hide when exposed to them. I suspect that she was terribly mistreated before my daughter adopted her.

Unfortunately I am hip deep into what was a three day plumbing - bathtub thing that is now entering week 8. Rot was discovered in not one, but two bathrooms...

    Serious rot.

Language has taken on a rather colorful bent here in villa rolandson. Little dog is most distressed. I try to use other languages, but she isn't fooled.

Never judge a book by its cover. Years ago I was turning at a busy intersection in another town a few miles away and the lady in front of my was looking down at something in her car and took for ever to take off so I calmly hit my horn just to let her know the light changed to green. When we made the turn I passed her in the second lane and she flashed me the biggest and prettiest middle finger I have ever seen in my life. She was older than dirt....

I dropped a totally unnecessary f-bomb at work the other day -“oops” would have been sufficient. Luckily my colleague just laughed.
I blame rock and roll...and beer.

I am Jeckyll and Hyde when it comes to driving. Very soft spoken and mile mannered in person, but my disdain for stupid drivers often gets the best of me.

One day when I was 15...
    Probably Wednesday...
We lived in a three story house on NE 38th and Brazee in Portland Oregon...
I was out on the 2nd story roof doing yearly cleaning(mom sent me)
    Bob Jacobs came by...
We were doing 15 year old bad-ass talk [F this, F-er that, M-Fer something else]...
Next thing I'm in the bushes lookin up...
Jacobs is on the ground rolling laughing...
Mom had reached out the window with a broom and shoved me off..
"You can't speak like that in my house"
    Awww mom...
    Awww mom...
    The voice of the lord...

I like the cursing style of the father in A Christmas Story. Unintelligible but entertaining gibberish.
