I've been looking for a home practice/recording amp for a little while. I have it narroweed to the Fender Champion 20 and the Roland Cube 10GX. I have played the champion 20 and liked it but haven't been able to find the cube on display anywhere and I hear a lot of good things about them. So, what do you guys recommend?

Same here - I recently got my 1st solid state amp a Roland Cube 40GX and I'm blown away with it ! .... I may never but another tube amp .
    So I'd say go Roland 10GX .

    Dude no contest.

Go for the Cube, its just better functionally and sounds much nicer. The Fender is Garbo in this case

As it happens, I have a Jensen mod speaker that would work for both too.

I bought a Champion 40 and it was too flimsy for words. Go for the Cube.

I recommend the cube.. if you want something a little bit more modern, try out the Boss Katana.. I'm getting one soon, it's from Roland (if you didn't know they where the same company .. at last, I didn't)

Had a Cube 10X for a very short time. Unless you are going to play whisper quiet and clean, you want a little more beef. Like the 20X...
