Maybe that's the issue, if it had come from Sweetwater, they do an inspection, the problems should have caught there.

Any hoo the bright side is I can screw around with it.

I think Capri Orange is a great color, although I’m with the people who would prefer a dark neck with it. But I’m not planning to get one of these. I had despaired of seeing Fender put out a Capri Orange Strat again, so a while back I bought the Xaviere version from guitarfetish. It took a little work but I’ve managed to turn that into a pretty decent player.

I have that one, which is great, and this one which is about as "Deep Purple" as Fender has ever done...

imo it looks cheap. Too close to the squier affinity orange. I'd rather save up an xtra $100-200 and get a used American Special in autumn blaze.

    1) American made
    2) beautiful rosewood fretboard
    3) HSS pup configuration
    4) Big headstock

I guess I have no choice - I have to get one.
Even if that means ripping out my Blackmore.
Then I would have a Blackmore with a Capri Orange body incl. the black plastic parts as the in the original Color Series from ´81.
Now that would be a killer guitar.
The only big problem is I love the Blackmore as it is.

    Life is good,
    Robin

I like it, but I guess I am predisposed to like it, having been influenced by seeing some cool Gretsch offerings in orange (and even a few G&Ls, come to think of it). I've never owned an orange guitar (yet), if I don't count my butterscoth affinity tele, which is close to orange, but I could see it happening one day.

Capri Orange with black plastics would look pretty cool. At least it does when I visualize it.

You know, I'm weird... I'm jonesing for a lacquer strat. If I can't land an affordable one that I love by early next year, I may just get a Player and beat the snot out of it.

Olympic White or Buttercream would be my first choice, but the Orange is that perfect balance of *ss ugly/attractive to *really* want to beat the snot out of it.

Saw a Capri Orange Player Strat in the flesh for the first time today. It's a funny one, I quite like it but it looks like a colour that's been left out in the sun. It's not really one thing or the other for me. Agree with the post above, black plastics could give it a cool edge.

I have to say though that the guitar was a cracker, fab set up, lovely neck, played like a dream. Those Player Strats are great value for money.

I like it with rosewood. I've been hooked on Orange guitars ever since I saw a tele with Tangerine Sparkle.
