I'll decide whether to play to a track if I think there's something to be gained and I have the time. If I don't like it, no big deal. I can always make my own suggests/posts or generate a new custom track, which I've done on occasion. Thanks for stepping up @Offshore Angler and putting this out there. I did try for a quick hit this morning and got nowhere with it, but that's on me. I'll come back to it if I have the time.

Pretty much my thoughts as well..

I hear something like this and think, ok how do I add to this and keep that live concert vibe without sounding like I'm playing/singing over the top of it? I dig the track myself... JMHO

And for those who don’t agree, simply don’t play it. It seems every few months we have this discussion, which drives people away. Let’s welcome new blood who may not know they way it was done before.

I don't know dudes, I just threw a quicky hit at it and found plenty of room. Didn't touch the mix at all. My trusty old Gold Strat that's the studio beater. Took fezz's intro suggestion LOL! I got a little sloppy on timing but I might just have to go back and record a "real" version, it's fun to play with.

Chuck and I ( along with Mark "Buzztone" Bjorke) used to do this almost 20 years ago on another site. It was fun then, it's fun now.

Very cool Chuck. You haven't lost a step. :)

i dove in headfirst. hoped for no stumps or sunken yachts right below the surface... but if so my scarf was apricot. (not really. i've never been very fabulous)

i should have plugged something in, i guess...

y'know, from my first listen to this track i was hearing lowell george and wishing for his chops. the little feat vibe was strong with this one i thought... the real essence of rock and roll outdoor stadiums, gospeltinged drunkards banging on organs and mangling doublestops, the smell of burned rope wafting across the field with the beach balls -... your addition was terrific ... reminded me of Stevie Winwood somehow.

    Thank you kindly @montemerrick :thumb:

My only pedal is an old wah-wah that lives under the cupboard. I take it out once a year and give it a try then put it back under the cupboard. Listen for it again next September.

You did one of the things I thought of was take advantage of the fact that the provided guitar part is panned left...and panned your track to the right! I've done this with my own stuff to great effect.

That was fun to listen to!

I will do that 99% of the time. While obviously aiding in seperation, I like the sense of "standing in front of the stage" while one guitarist is to the left and one guitarist is to the right.
It sounds like it works for you too on your own stuff :thumb:
